You can play a role in the subarea planning process for South Downtown Tacoma by taking a community survey. The City is working with community members in the South Downtown area, including the University of Washington Tacoma, Hillside, Foss Waterway, Brewery, and Dome Districts, to develop a Subarea Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for the area, and we want to hear from you.
The subarea plan will identify short- and long-term goals and objectives for this area, in addition to outlining specific methods to achieve them.
Public opinions and priorities are an important part of this subarea planning process. In this effort, a survey has been tailored for the subarea which will be made available at many South Downtown businesses and can be printed or completed online via the project website at www.cityoftacoma.org/southdowntownplan.
The information provided in the survey will help illustrate the current conditions and needs of those within the community.
