The mission of Community and Economic Development is to stimulate Tacoma's economic activity and strengthen Tacoma's position as a thriving urban, cultural and economic center. We work to establish Tacoma as a destination city, attract investment that builds a vibrant economy, strengthen the heart of the city, and enhance neighborhood livability.
