Landmarks Preservation Commission seeks a volunteer architect
The Tacoma City Council invites qualified individuals to apply for a vacancy on the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The following architect position is open:

• Architect:  Open to residents of Tacoma who are currently or have been professionally certified architects in the past. The appointee will serve a term ending Dec. 31, 2013.

The Landmarks Preservation Commission oversees the establishment and regulation of landmarks, landmark sites and historic districts. Commission meetings are held at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

The commission is comprised of 11 citizen volunteers who serve three-year terms. Members are recommended for appointment by the Council Appointments Committee and confirmed by the City Council.  For more information, visit www.tacomaculture.org.
