The City of Tacoma’s Planning Commission has three openings for citizens residing in Council Districts No. 2 (Northeast, Downtown, Old Town), No. 3 (Central Tacoma), and No. 5 (South and South End). The term for these positions begins July 1, 2012, and expires June 30, 2015.
The Planning Commission advises the City Council on issues related to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, mixed-use centers development, land use and development regulations, transportation, capital facilities and other long- and short-range planning studies.
The Planning Commission meets at 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
To ensure eligibility for positions in Council Districts 2, 3 or 5, citizens may obtain a map of Council Districts from the City Clerk’s Office or view it at www.cityoftacoma.org/Page.aspx?nid=56.
