The City Council recently received a quarterly report from staff on 24 performance measures in seven key service areas that were selected for their tie to the Council’s strategic priorities, relevance to citizens, policymakers and City management, and ability to be collected quarterly. This report, called Tacoma 24/7, is available for your review.
Improving community engagement and communication between the City and Tacoma's residents continues to be a priority, as the City conducts its five-year review of the Neighborhood Council Program. The review will assess how well it is doing with the program and make recommendations to the City Council for consideration. As part of this process, the City is asking Tacoma residents to take part in a brief survey.
The City of Tacoma's Annual Report for 2012 highlights the City of Tacoma’s progress and accomplishments over the past year. While the City navigated through significant budget challenges in 2012, much work was also done to improve Tacoma's economy, safety, livability, environmental footprint and infrastructure.
