EnviroChallengers want to teach in your classroom!
The EnviroChallengers are teaching in schools all around Tacoma and hope to visit you and your students. Browse through our lesson descriptions and, when you're ready, schedule a visit. Click here to find out how many EnviroChallenger visits your classroom and your school can have.
Elementary School lessons:
We have seven lessons for students in grades 2-5. Learn more about lessons and pre-visit activities.
Our EnviroChallenger educators will come to your school and teach up to five lessons in the day. The number of days the EnviroChallengers will come to your school in a year is based on your student population. As a teacher, you may schedule up to three lessons a year in your own classroom. For each day you schedule, work with other 2nd- through 5th-grade teachers in your school to book a full day of lessons, if possible. It’s easiest to work with one teacher who coordinates all of your school’s lessons.
Middle School lessons:
We have five lessons for students in grades 6-8. Learn more about lessons and pre-visit activities.
When you invite the EnviroChallenger educators into your classroom, they bring your students engaging environmental lessons that will teach them to be good stewards of the earth. Lessons fit your schedule, and they support your district science kits as well as state objectives.
