The loans are at zero (0) percent interest rate with repayment schedules tailored to your individual budget, for a term of up to (20) twenty years. Senior citizens and persons with disabilities may be eligible for a deferred loan for a period of up to (20) twenty years.
Why should I apply?
You can make your home safer and more livable without assuming an unreasonable financial burden. In addition to creating a more pleasant place to live, home improvements may increase the value of your home when you decide to sell.
If you decide to take advantage of this opportunity, the loan and rehab staff will help you every step of the way, including completing your application, inspecting your home, loaning the money, providing a list of qualified contractors, overseeing the project with the assistance of the City's Building Inspectors, and insuring you are satisfied with the work on your home. The work has a one year warranty on all materials and workmanship.
If your home is in need of small or large repairs, is located within the city limits of Tacoma, and you qualify according to the income chart above, contact us at (253) 591-5230 for additional information.
