Permit Process
Tacoma’s Building and Land Use (BLUS) Department administers residential and commercial development.  
  
Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program (formerly HUB)
The City of Tacoma’s Small Business Enterprise Program (SBE) offers contracting opportunities and business management assistance to qualified small business contractors.
  
Incentives
Your development project may qualify for certain credits and incentives. 
  
Local Employment and Apprenticeship Program
The Local Employment and Apprenticeship Training Program (LEAP) provides City of Tacoma residents opportunities to access training, enter apprenticeship programs, acquire skills and perform work on City public works projects that provide living wages. Small Works Roster
The City’s Small Works Roster Program (SWR) allows contracting companies to register to bid on public works projects with a budget of $25,000 or less. For more information, contact Lyndsie Hammond at (253) 502-8248 or lhammond@cityoftacoma.org.
