State of the City Address

Mayor Woodards will Host the 2024 State of the City Address on March 28

Mayor Victoria Woodards will host Tacoma's 2024 State of the City Address on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 6:30 PM. During this free community event, Mayor Woodards will speak on the theme “Collectively Weaving Our Community Tapestry.” This in-person event will be held at the Silas High School Auditorium.

 

Bruce Kendall, President/CEO of the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County, will serve as the emcee.

Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of Orchard and North 14th Street.

 

Free to Attend, but Advanced Registration is Required
Community members who are interested in attending this free, public event must register in advance via Eventbrite. Due to space limitations, seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in attending the State of the City Address are encouraged to register by Friday, March 22 at 3 PM. If you have questions or requests for special accommodations, including language translations, please email Jennifer Durham.

If you are unable to attend in person, Mayor Woodards' remarks can be viewed live on TV Tacoma or tvtacoma.com. It will also be streamed live on the City's Facebook pageEvent attendees and members of the public can post about and follow the event using #SOTC253.
