City Council Priority: Access

To be a livable city, residents must have meaningful access to the things they need in their everyday lives no matter what neighborhood they live in, the color of their skin, what language they speak or any other aspect of their identity.

To be anti-racist, residents of color must feel that facilities and services are easy to access and meaningful to improving or maintaining their quality of life. This means being intentionally anti-racist in how we:

  • Invest in neighborhoods
  • Provide digital access
  • Create access to transit
  • Create access to economic opportunity
  • Create access to opportunities for youth
