Climate Engagement Grant Opportunity: New Due Date April 10, 2020

The City of Tacoma is looking to partner with an organization to build climate engagement capacity within the Tacoma community and especially with diverse, underserved, and vulnerable communities. From May 2020 through May 2021, the selected partner organization will engage the Tacoma community and City staff on both:

  • General climate science, including adaptation and mitigation
  • Participation and input into the update of Tacoma’s Environmental Action Plan and Climate Resilience Strategy

Seeking Applicants for AmeriCorps Sustainability Specialist

The AmeriCorps member will serve the Office of Environmental Policy and Sustainability to implement the City’s Environmental Action Plan using strategies of community outreach, engagement, and education. Topics include (but are not limited to) natural systems, air and local food, transportation, buildings and energy, materials management, and climate resiliency.
