In the second program year, program staff members engaged 650 households about available services through door-belling in Eastside's Dometop neighborhood. With our partners, we organized a community breakfast, a neighborhood walking tour, a gardening workshop, a street clean-up, and a Depave of McKinley Avenue (replacing unneeded pavement with greenery).
Through these efforts, 15 families received raised garden beds, a struggling community garden filled 35 empty plots with new members, 42 homes changed out their high-polluting wood stoves, and dozens of residents were connected to their local community group and other partner organization services.
