Tacoma Firefighters Host Remembrance Ceremony on September 11

Tacoma Firefighters will honor the heroes and victims of 9/11 at a public remembrance ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Firefighters Memorial located at 3301 Ruston Way.

This year marks the seventeenth anniversary of this tragic day. The program will include speeches by Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards, Tacoma Fire Chief Jim Duggan and retired firefighter Jeff Cool of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY).
