JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

SECURITY SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Tacoma Power’s Generation Section is seeking an experienced, results oriented individual who enjoys challenges and a progressive work environment.  This position is responsible for preparing plans, specification and project management of Tacoma Power’s security systems which include CCTV, access control, alarms and monitoring stations.  It is also desired to have experience working with communications engineers and have knowledge of EIA/TIA standards, telemetry, controls systems and the ability to coordinate system infrastructure for those components in building and civil engineering designs.

 

Annual Salary Range:  $65,062 to $79,123 (DOQ)

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or related field with a minimum of three years’ experience in security systems, telemetry and communications coordination.  Key attributes include the ability to perform technical and complex engineering functions, possesses effective written and oral communication and team-work skills.  In addition, the candidate will also have project management experience.  Due to the nature of this position candidates without degrees but with extensive experience are encouraged to apply.
