City Manager Elizabeth Pauli announced a pause on the recruitment for a permanent Police Chief for the Tacoma Police Department, writing “The City is fortunate to have strong, capable interim leadership currently in place, with Chief Patti Jackson.” This move allows for Hyun Kim, who will begin... serving as Interim City Manager starting on June 30, 2025, to align decision-making for a permanent Police Chief with the evolving vision and future priorities of our City government.
