Tacoma City Council is continuing to work on the amendment process for the Home In Tacoma Zoning and Standards package. Join the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 19th, at 5:00 PM for the final reading of the Home In Tacoma Ordinance. This will include amendments brought forward and voted on at the October 29th Council Meeting and potential additional amendments from Council Members.

Final Environmental Impact Statement
The Final Environmental Impact Statement (Final EIS) for Home in Tacoma is now available, which evaluates the potential environmental impacts of the proposal. This Final EIS has been prepared to identify any potential changes to the Proposal, supplement and improve the analysis, make any needed factual corrections, and respond to all public comments made on the Draft EIS.
Planning Commission Home in Tacoma Recommendation
The Planning Commission has provided their final recommendation for the Home in Tacoma (HIT) packet at their June 5, 2024, meeting. These recommendations include decisions on zoning, including three new Urban Residential zones for low and mid-scale density, parking, including Reduced Parking Areas, and landscaping, including tree retention and minimum planting requirements.
