State of the City Address

2024 State of the City Collectively Weaving Our Community Tapestry

We would like to thank all the community members who attended the reformatted State of the City event at Silas High School.

On March 28, 2024, Mayor Victoria Woodards reformatted her annual State of the City Address to hear from you. You shared your concerns on important topics such as Homelessness, Community Safety, Affordable Housing, Community Health, and Sustainability.

In response, Mayor Woodards is launching a video series to share what we're doing as a city to address your concerns. During the week of September 16, 2024, a video highlighting the topics that were most talked about during the reformatted State of the Address will be released daily on our social media channels (Facebook, X, and YouTube) and linked on this web page. These videos were produced internally by City of Tacoma staff. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about how we are working together to create a better Tacoma for all.
