Event Road Closures

Anticipated Event-Related Road Closures Expected Around Tacoma through Sunday, July 7:   

  • On Saturday, June 29, the Matador Hola Summer Block Party will close South 8th Street between Pacific Avenue to Court A from 3 AM to Sunday, June 30, at 3 AM.
  • On Saturday, June 29, the Quinceanera Rodeo Procession will involve a rolling, police escorted lane closure southbound on East McKinley Avenue between East 45th Street and 7803 McKinley Avenue from noon – 1:30 PM. 
  • On Sunday, June 30, the Tacoma Proctor Criterium Bike Race event will close North 26th, North 27th, North Madison, North Washington, North Proctor and North Adams streets from 8 AM to 10 PM. 
  • On Sunday, June 30, the Great Race Shine Time Car Show event will close East D Street between East 26th Street and Wiley Avenue from 6 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • On Thursday, July 4, the Freedom Fair event will close Schuster Parkway, the Ruston Way waterfront, North 30th, McCarver streets and side streets between North Oakes and North Starr streets in Old Town from 4 AM to midnight.
  • On Thursday, July 4, the Point Ruston Independence Day 5k Run/Walk event will close the following streets starting at Vassault Playfield: North Narrows Drive, North Vassault Street, North Park Way, North 54th, North Shirley, North 51st streets, and Ruston Way, ending at Point Ruston Grand Plaza from 5:30 AM to noon.  
  • On Thursday, July 4, the Celebration of Past & Present event will close North Puget Avenue between North 34th and North 35th streets from 10 AM to 10 PM.
  • On Thursday, July 4, the Phillippi Block Party will close North 49th street from North Ferdinand Street/Waterview Street to the alley located ½ a block east from 11 AM to 10 PM.

Reoccurring Closures
  • The Broadway Farmers Market closes Broadway from South 9th to South 11th streets every Thursday from 7 AM to 5 PM.  

  • The Proctor Farmers Market closes North 27th from North Proctor to North Madison streets every Saturday from 7 AM to 3 PM.
