State of the City Address

Mayor Woodards to Host the 2023 State of the City Address on March 16

Mayor Victoria Woodards will host Tacoma's 2023 State of the City Address on Thursday, March 16, 2023. During the free community event, Mayor Woodards will speak on the theme “Building Tomorrow Together”. This in-person event will be held at Mount Tahoma High School at 6:30 PM. Topics covered during her address will include community safety, affordable housing and homelessness, and Tacoma’s ongoing recovery from the global pandemic.

 

Andrea Reay, President/CEO of the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce and Tara Zolfaghari, Vice Chair of the Mayor’s Youth Commission will serve as co-emcees.

Free to Attend but Advanced Registration is Required

Community members who are interested in attending this free, public event must register in advance via Eventbrite. Due to space limitations, seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in attending the State of the City Address are encouraged to register by Friday, March 3 at 3 PM.
