About the Show

artTown is an award-winning cultural documentary-style TV series exploring Tacoma's emergence as a major creative hub in the Pacific Northwest.

The series offers segments featuring diverse perspectives on a variety of creative disciplines and offers a holistic look at creativity in Tacoma.  So, in addition to what people may traditionally think of as creative - such as fine art, music or dance - we may also spotlight other creative areas of interest that have flourished in Tacoma like fashion, innovative education practices, architecture and more.
