2016 Annual Amendment Public Hearing on May 4

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 5 p.m. in the Tacoma Municipal Building Council Chambers (747 Market St., 1st Floor). This hearing will address the 2016 Annual Amendment which includes proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Regulatory Code.

Planning staff will conduct a community informational session on Wednesday, April 27, from 5-7 p.m., in the Council Chambers, to provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed amendments prior to the public hearing.

The 2016 Annual Amendment includes the following proposals:  area-wide rezones as part of the Future Land Use Implementation; design standards applicable to multifamily development; code amendments pertaining to Wireless Communication Facilities; regulations addressing Short-Term Rentals of residential houses or rooms; and various clean-up amendments to the Land Use Regulatory Code.
