About the Inspired Palates Webisode Series
The City of Tacoma's Media and Communications Office – in partnership with its Community and Economic Development Department – has developed a new webisode series called Inspired Palates: The Creative Canvas of Food & Drink in Tacoma.
The latest webisode of Inspired Palates features Tacoma resident and local vegan chef Niombi Howell who, along with her daughter, Afi, runs Quickie Too in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood.
Niombi Howell has lived and worked in Tacoma since 1972.
Inspired Palates pays tribute to Tacoma’s creative culinary canvas, which has broadened and diversified over the years to help put Tacoma on the map. It primarily highlights independent Tacoma-based purveyors of craft food or drinks, many of whom incorporate high quality ingredients based on regional or seasonal availability. It also provides insight into emerging culinary trends in Tacoma, a city where authenticity inspires creativity, innovation and progress.
While Inspired Palates will be distributed primarily online, it will also be crosspromoted across a variety of City-owned communications vehicles.
The
City of Tacoma does not receive any monetary or in-kind compensation from
individuals or businesses featured in the Inspired Palates webisode series.
