Growing Demand for Parking

The desired outcome of the Residential Parking Program (RPP) is to increase the amount of on-street parking available to residents and their guests. This is accomplished when qualifying residential areas complete the application process to establish a Residential Parking Zone (RPZ).

The zone provides preferential parking privileges to those residents and guests who have a permit issued by Parking Services. The permits exempt vehicles from a citation when parked in the designated zone during posted restricted hours. All vehicles parked in a designated Residential Parking Zone (RPZ) must adhere to the posted regulations or risk being issued a corrective action. A fee based parking permit is required to park for more than two-hours in an RPZ.
