Nighttime Lane Closure on I-705 Scheduled November 19 – 20

The City of Tacoma’s Street Operations Division will be working in coordination with the Washington State Department of Transportation to close one lane of southbound I-705 for maintenance and storm system cleaning during the nighttime hours of Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20. 

One lane of southbound I-705 will be closed between the Schuster Parkway on-ramp and the I-5 interchange on November 19, and from the Stadium Way on-ramp and the South 9th Street on-ramp on November 20. This lane closure will take place each evening from 10 PM to 3 AM with traffic detours in place.

All repairs are weather dependent, and rescheduling may be required. Notice boards will be on location to notify drivers of the project and will also reflect any necessary changes.
