As an element of the One Tacoma Comprehensive Plan, the Capital Facilities Program provides a bridge between the City’s long-term plan and the budget process, but does not appropriate funds. Proposed new projects for the 2021-2026 timeframe vary in sizes, are located citywide, and fall into the following categories: community development, cultural facilities, general government municipal facilities, libraries, local improvement districts, parks and open space, public safety, solid waste, surface water, wastewater, transportation, Tacoma Power, Tacoma Rail and Tacoma Water.
