Tacoma Recycle Center Adjusts Operating Hours for Residential Customers Starting December 26

The City of Tacoma’s Solid Waste Management will be adjusting operating hours at the Tacoma Recycle Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) starting Saturday, December 26, 2020. Effective this date, the Recycle Center will be open for residential customers seven days a week, from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Until this date this facility will be open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 8 AM to 5:30 PM and closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The Household Hazardous Waste Facility will continue limited hours of operation until further notice. This facility will be open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 8 AM to 5:30 PM and closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Customers are required to observe COVID-19 guidelines by wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing while visiting all Solid Waste Management facilities. 

As Solid Waste Management continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation, residents will be notified of additional service or schedule changes on the Recycle Coach app, and information will be posted on cityoftacoma.org/solidwaste, or customers can call (253) 502-2100 for more information.
