City of Tacoma Observes Independence Day July 5

The City of Tacoma will observe Independence Day on Monday, July 5. Although administrative offices are closed, essential services including emergency services and garbage, recycling and yard/food waste collection remain operational.

The Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) will close on Sunday, July 4, and open as normally scheduled on Monday, July 5, from 8 AM – 5:30 PM.

All Tacoma Public Library locations will close on Saturday, July 3.
