Sustainable Landscape and Gardens

LandscapingThe EnviroHouse has resources, workshops, and displays to help you create a more natural environment and reduce water use and maintenance. Native and drought tolerant plants provide interest, color, and texture in a hydro-zoned landscape to make watering more efficient. Learn about natural yard care, healthy soil, irrigation, landscape design, flower and food gardens, nontoxic pest maintenance, composting, trees, pruning and more.

The EnviroHouse grounds are open for viewing year-round when the Tacoma Recovery and Transfer Center is open. Seasonable displays include our TAGRO garden raised beds demonstrating how to grow enviable produce and blooms.
