Overview
This project will fill in missing sidewalk sections on the west side of N Vassault Avenue and will install or upgrade ramps and driveways to meet current ADA standards. The project will also include the replacement of the retaining wall located at the south end of the project for about four hundred and fifty feet along the west side of the road. In the wall section of the project the rarely used on-street parking will be removed to accommodate the retaining wall and new sidewalk.
The City recently awarded a contract to Global Contractors, LLC for the construction of missing sidewalk sections along the west side of North Vassault Street and construction of a retaining wall near the southern end of the project.
Public Meetings
An Open House was held at the Point Defiance Elementary School on March 2, 2015, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
