Community Invited to a 2025–2026 Biennial Budget ‘Balancing Act’ Workshop on August 15

TACOMA, Wash. -- Community members are invited to join the City of Tacoma at a virtual workshop on August 15, from 5:30 – 6:30 PM, for more information on the City’s 2025-2026 Biennial Budget development process and the many ways they can engage.

During the workshop, the City of Tacoma’s Office of Management and Budget will walk through the City’s interactive budget tool – “Balancing Act” – which community members can use to play with budget scenarios by making increases or decreases to service levels as they try to balance the City’s General Fund budget. The City’s Office of Management and Budget will also break down the 2025–2026 baseline General Fund budget by priority area and answer community member questions. Input and feedback from community members will inform the development of the City’s 2025–2026 Proposed Biennial Budget.
