Updates on Claims for Damages

The City of Tacoma is receiving an unprecedented number of new claims for damages. Because of our limited staffing there will now be a significant delay in the processing of claims for damages. When you file a claim for damages, please understand it may be 2-4 months before you will be sent a formal acknowledgment letter from the City. This acknowledgment letter will advise you of your claim number and that the investigation into the matter has begun. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you. Should you have questions regarding a claim for damages please contact Lauren Ryker at lryker@cityoftacoma.org.

Elections

The City Clerk is the election official for the City and can answer inquiries relating to running for municipal elections or the referendum and initiative process. Please contact the City Clerk at (253) 591-5361 for assistance with elections.
