Mural Artist Roster

We maintain a publicly accessible roster of mural artists, living in Tacoma and Pierce County, who have been vetted by the Arts & Cultural Vitality Division and community members.

Arts and Economic Prosperity Study
From May 2022 - July 2023, the City of Tacoma's Arts & Cultural Vitality Division participated in a national study called Arts & Economic Prosperity 6. The study documented the economic and social benefits that nonprofit arts and culture organizations, and their audiences, have both locally and nationally. The findings from this study build upon the findings from similar studies done in 2006, 2011, and 2016.
Creative Space Survey
In 2015, the City of Tacoma and the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation partnered with Artspace Projects, the nation’s leading non-profit real estate developer for the arts, to conduct a study of the space needs and preferences of artists and creatively engaged individuals living and working in Tacoma and the surrounding region. The aim of the study was to assist the City of Tacoma, local property owners, and developers in advancing projects and providing new and affordable living, working, and other unique spaces for artists and creative individuals of all disciplines in Tacoma.
