Environmental Services and Public Works employees are a critical part of our City's organization and infrastructure. Each day, residents of Tacoma rely on the labor of City employees who are working hard to build and maintain our infrastructure and improve our surroundings. Environmental Services and Public Works employees focus on the safety, cleanliness and smooth function of our streets, sewers, buildings and much more.


The Environmental Services Department offers wide array of  positions, ranging from street sweeping and wastewater treatment operations to  environmental engineering and experts in policy and sustainability. These positions are open to qualified candidates with a wide array of backgrounds and educations.
