Then join us for the City of Tacoma’s Public Works Summit 2024, where experts, professionals, and enthusiasts come together to discuss innovative strategies and solutions for advancing public works projects, educate on the process, and prepare for the future of the department.

Location: Washington State History Museum Auditorium (1911 Pacific Avenue in Tacoma)

  • Project exhibitions: Explore the latest projects and engage with staff.
  • Overview of Public Works at the City of Tacoma: Hear from Public Works Director Ramiro Chavez and staff on an overview of why we do what we do, how we do it, and why we do it.
  • Video presentation: A brief video presentation on why our dedicated employees love coming to work at the City of Tacoma.
  • Departmental achievements: What we’ve accomplished as a department this past year.
  • Looking toward the future: What’s on the horizon for Public Works.

The event is closed to the public and will be recorded by the City's TV Tacoma Production staff to air at a later date. Refreshments will be provided in the lobby area and not allowed in the auditorium. Parking information will follow after registration.
