Port of Tacoma Rd.- Intersection work Jan. 11
Construction is expected to begin Jan. 11 on the intersection of East 11th Street and Port of Tacoma Road.
 
The weather-dependent work is expected to last 30 to 45 days. It will be completed in five stages, with each expected to last a week. The first stage will close the southwest corner of the intersection.
 
Traffic patterns will change throughout construction and maps will be provided.
 
Stage 1 traffic patterns
 
Husky: Beginning Jan. 12, trucks will stage on Port of Tacoma Road until the work is complete.
OCT: Trucks will continue to use the Overflow and the East 11th Street staging areas. Trucks are encouraged to exit the terminal through the West Gate.
Westwood: Westwood breakbulk trucks will stage on Port of Tacoma Road. 
East 11th Street: East 11th Street will close at Thorne Avenue to through traffic, and no left turns will be allowed from Port of Tacoma Road. Access will be provided for OCT trucks to enter the terminal and for local businesses.
 
Expect delays and be prepared for disruptions at the intersection. Please be patient while the contractor completes this final piece of the reconstruction project.
