Residential Parking Zone 1 - Extension

Extension of Residential Parking Zone 1

The Residential Parking Program (RPP) is a management tool used to reduce spillover parking in residential neighborhoods. The objective of the RPP is to create a sustainable process to establish residential parking controls that gives on-street parking priority to residents and short term guests during periods of high occupancy.

Parking Changes:

  • 2-Hour parking Monday through Friday during the hours of 8 AM-8 PM
  • Or by permit only

The outlined area has been approved for the extension of Residential Parking Zone 1.

The signs were unveiled and enforcement began on August 1, 2019.

The permit system only functions in an online format and RPP account approval is required in order for users to have access to permits. Only residents and non-resident property owners are eligible to have accounts.

Residential Parking Zones

Residential Parking Zones (RPZ) are only considered upon request. The city does not implement an RPZ without verified support by residents and property owners. An application for consideration initiates the review process and it typically takes four to six months from initiation to implementation. Applications are reviewed on a semi-annual basis on the first of every April and October.
