Applications for the Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs Due February 1

 

The Tacoma City Council is looking to fill four positions on the Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, including two member, alternate, and youth positions.

 

The Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs consists of eleven members and one alternate, including one youth or young adult under the age of 25, serving three-year terms. All members shall demonstrate experience or expertise with immigrant issues.

 

The purpose of the Commission is to better engage Tacoma’s immigrant and refugee communities and to work with community partners to identify and advance positive outcomes for members of this diverse population.
