City Observes Thanksgiving Holiday November 22 and 23

City of Tacoma Observes Thanksgiving Holiday November 22 and 23


Administrative offices in the Tacoma Municipal Building complex (747 Market St. and 733 Market St.) and in other City of Tacoma facilities will close Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  

The Tacoma Recovery and Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) will close – and garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be collected – Thursday, November 22. Customers whose garbage, recycling and yard waste are normally picked up on Thursdays or Fridays can expect pick-up one day later this week. All other customers can expect pick-up as normally scheduled. 

Police and fire personnel will be on duty Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, and animal control personnel will be on duty from 8 AM - 8 PM on each of those days.
   
Following is a list of other closures and service adjustments relating to the Thanksgiving holiday:

• All Tacoma Public Library facilities will close Thursday, November 22.
• The Tacoma Municipal Court (930 Tacoma Ave. S) will close Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23. 
• There will be no parking enforcement by City staff Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23.
