‘T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn’ City Services Expo on March 28 at the Tacoma Dome
The City of Tacoma is hosting “T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo on March 28, from 10 AM to 3 PM, at the Tacoma Dome. The free, public event is part of an ongoing effort to raise community awareness about the services delivered by the various departments at the City of Tacoma, educate the community about how Tacoma’s municipal government works, and offer an opportunity for community members to share ideas and feedback about how the City should utilize its resources.
Designed to be an interactive community event, it will feature live demonstrations and hands-on activities for the entire family. New this year, there will be a quiet hour from 10 - 11 AM for guests seeking low sensory stimulation.
“This is a chance for our community to connect with the employees who work every day to serve Tacoma residents, businesses and visitors,” said Mayor Victoria Woodards. “If you’ve been wanting an opportunity to see a fire truck up close, talk to a police officer about the work that they do, learn where your water and power come from, get up to speed on changes coming this year to residential curbside recycling, or find out about the many other services the City of Tacoma offers, come to this event.”
Free parking will be available at the Tacoma Dome for this event. As additional event details become available, they will be posted at cityoftacoma.org/expo and on the City’s official social media channels.
