Eastbound Lane of Lincoln Avenue Bridge Closed to Vehicular Traffic
The eastbound lane of the Lincoln Avenue Bridge (located off Portland Avenue East in the Tacoma Tideflats area) is currently closed to vehicular traffic due to a diesel spill. The westbound lane of the Lincoln Avenue Bridge remains open to traffic.
Drivers are asked to follow detour signs and expect delays when traveling in the area.
The City of Tacoma’s Environmental Services Department is working with a contracting crew to address the spill. This work is anticipated to be completed later today, at which point the Lincoln Avenue Bridge is expected to fully reopen to traffic.
