Historic Preservation Awards Nominations Accepted Now Through April 25
The Tacoma Landmarks Preservation
Commission is seeking nominations for the Historic Preservation Awards.
Nominations are open now and are being gathered here until Monday, April 25,
2016.
Award categories include:
- Residential Renovation
- Commercial Renovation
- Preservation Planning
- Policy or Initiative
- Landmark Nomination to be Recognized
- Urban Revitalization
- Leadership in Preservation
- Organization in Preservation
The Historic Preservation Awards
ceremony and reception is on Sunday, May 22, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the The Swiss
Restaurant & Pub (1904 Jefferson Ave. in Tacoma). The event is free and
open to the public and refreshments will be available. Historian Michael
Sullivan will speak at the reception about Prohibition-era Tacoma.
