Second Episode of Urban Green Features Bicycles, Business and Local Food

In TV Tacoma’s second edition of Urban Green, host Diane Wiatr interviews internationally known business sustainability expert L. Hunter Lovins. Lovins shares the benefits of sustainable business, steps to getting there and how customers can make a difference.

Wiatr, from the City’s Office of Environmental Policy and Sustainability, also interviews local small business owner Christie Qualey of Reciprocity Foods, who practices sustainability herself, as she demos her widely popular green smoothie recipe. The episode further features:
  • Kids on bikes with Kidical Mass Tacoma
  • Harvest Pierce County community gardens and TAGRO
  • An EnviroChallenger tip for using (and remembering) reusable bags
  • Upcoming opportunities

A new episode of Urban Green airs every two months. It airs daily on TV Tacoma, located on Channel 12 for cable TV subscribers in Tacoma city limits and Channel 21 for most cable TV subscribers in greater Pierce County.
